Deepening Lean Management丨The company held the "SOLAR Advanced Training GDE Engineering Management Legal Practice" training course Edit Date：2022/07/06

       In order to further enhance the company’s engineering management personnel’s awareness of the rule of law, comprehensively deepen the promotion of lean management, and help the company achieve high-quality sustainable development, the company held a special training on engineering management legal practice from July 5th to 6th. A total of 70 students participated in the training.

       This training is organized and implemented by Sunshine Times Law Firm. The training instructors are senior lawyers with rich practical experience. The training content includes four modules:

       Course Module 1: Analysis of Legal Practice Issues in EPC Projects Contracting

       The course system introduces the legal problems encountered in the EPC projects contracting, gives practical suggestions based on specific legal terms and actual cases, and analyzes contract settlement, contract pricing, contract supplementary agreements, equipment shortlist disputes, and delayed delivery through typical case analysis. Legal analysis of issues in EPC project management such as safety management responsibilities.

       Course Module 2: International Engineering Contracting Claims & Counterclaim Practices

       The course explained the typical reasons and timing of international engineering claims & counterclaims, and shared the experience of international engineering claims based on actual cases.

       Course Module 3: Engineering Subcontracting and Procurement Contract Management

       The course combines applicable legal terms and specific cases to conduct analysis of subcontracting, effective conditions in procurement contracts, subject matter, delivery, construction period and progress, price and payment, letter of guarantee, quality warranty period, back-to-back clauses, breach of contract, termination, force majeure, claims, etc. The trainees are invited to experience project subcontracting management.

       Module 4: Evidence Awareness and Mooting in Engineering Management

       Through immersive teaching, training and mooting, the students can experience the real court trial process and the students’ awareness of evidence in project management can be established and strengthened.

       Inter-class Game Session:

       This course adopts an interactive participatory training method. The formal students are divided into 8 groups for team competition. During the course, there are set points, group discussion and exchange, theme interaction and other methods to mobilize the enthusiasm of the students and enhance the participation of the students to create a positive classroom atmosphere. After two days and one night of the competition, three Glory teams and five star students were finally selected.

       Through this training, the company’s trainees learned the macro-legal provisions of engineering management, and also mastered a wealth of micro-practical skills, which further strengthened the legal risk prevention and control awareness and practical ability in the process of engineering project management. In order to comprehensively strengthen project management, the legal risk management in the process lays a solid foundation for the healthy operation and high-quality sustainable development of the company.
